Club Pilates offers group and private reformer classes in various formats and levels to accommodate all, from those just starting their fitness journey to those advancing their strength training. Class formats target a wide range of clients’ needs – from adolescents to senior and beginner to advanced. 

Club Pilates was one of the first studios to create a 500-hour Teacher Training Program designed to thoroughly and safely teach group Pilates apparatus classes. 

POSITION:

A national leader in boutique fitness is looking for amazing talent to join our team and seeking a passionate person to teach Pilates in a fun, positive way! The ideal Lead Pilates Instructor will have a passion for Pilates and helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. Position reports to the General Manager.

LOCATION:

This is an onsite position supporting the Club Pilates Somers Point studio located in New Jersey. Will not consider remote applicants.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • In-depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
  • Up to date CPR training or willingness to obtain
  • Experience teaching group classes. Ability to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction and demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
  • Comfortable adding TRX, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities to teaching repertoire
  • Energetic, positive and motivational teaching style and excellent customer service skills
  • Team player, punctual, reliable and polished
  • Drive major revenue streams including memberships, retail, private and teacher training
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and in person communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment.
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment.
  • An affinity and passion for fitness. Cultivate relationships with members and prospects
  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize, meet goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public.
  • Independently make decisions related to high level customer service
  • Proficiency with computers and Studio software or the ability to learn new systems.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule with nights and weekend availability.
  • High School Diploma Required.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous boutique fitness management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Group fitness: 2 year (Preferred)

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for Pilates instruction to group reformer classes, private and semi-private training, and intro classes and create best-in-class customer experience.
  • Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, ExoChair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
  • Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
  • Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio management
  • Must arrive at a set time prior to the beginning of each scheduled group class or private/semi-private session
  • Ensure classes were up to franchise standard. Enforce Club Pilates policies and procedures.
  • Building studio revenue by promoting retail and membership sales & services
  • Being a motivating and inspiring force to promote our motto: Do Pilates. Do Life.
  • Participate in networking/community events as needed and studio promotions to generate new business
  • Weekly meetings with Lead Pilates Instructor.
  • Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
  • Maintain franchise distinct aesthetic, atmosphere, and culture.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • This is an hourly position, flexible scheduling so you can create a fulfilling full-time or part-time career as a Pilates Instructor.
