JOB SUMMARY
A Massage Therapist is responsible for applying certified and approved therapeutic massage techniques for relaxation and/or medical benefits to members and guests of the Minneapolis Club. The Massage Therapist, works under the guidance of the Director of Fitness. This position is part time with flexible hours and schedule.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Create and teach exciting, engaging and relevant group fitness classes
Willing to teach both private, semi-private, and group classes up to 12 clients as needed
Respond to members needs and assist with proper form and physical abilities
Work with Fitness team to build offerings and drive utilization of the department
Timeliness including preparation for classes and being on-time for classes or club obligations
Work professionally and positively with both membership and the Club staff
Punctual, reliable, and dedicated
Maintaining a clean, friendly, and motivational work environment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be current on their CPR/AED certification and must additionally have one of the following certifications:
• Nationally accredited group exercise or Pilates certification (e.g. AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NASM or other)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk. The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
