Fitness-Pilates Instructor- Sackville Sports Stadium

Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is inviting applications for casual positions of Fitness- Pilates Instructor at the Sackville Sports Stadium with the Recreation Programming division of Parks & Recreation.

These Instructors can lead a variety of programs; this location is currently seeking instructors for Pilates, Spin/Cycling, General Group and Seniors' Fitness, Bootcamp/Circuit and Strength/Conditioning programs. The instructor must plan and teach recreational programs to participants of all ages.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for developing a specific program plan.
• Responsible for greeting participants, leading activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants, organizing equipment and supplies, preparing for activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working or volunteering with the public in a recreational setting (if applicable);
• Applicable fitness certification in group fitness/personal training (i.e: Nova Scotia Fitness Association, Can-Fit-Pro, NASM) and Certified Pilates Instructor
• Applicants must have current certification in Emergency First Aid and Level C CPR
• Applicants must complete screening through a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry if applicable

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.

WORK STATUS: Casual/Seasonal

HOURS OF WORK: Work a flexible work schedule.

SALARY: Non-Union casual wage.
